Lizette Venter directs 121@ VMA. Having worked in the corporate world for many years she felt the strong call to get more involved in community work. This led to her starting up 121@ VMA where she keeps the rest of us in line!
Ian Stuart is pastor of the Pretoria North Baptist church. He is involved in every part of 121@ VMA from guiding us with his wise council, to daily decision making, to sorting out technical hitches, to facilitating with the detention program.
Cori Wielenga is involved with all the day-to-day runnings of 121. Apart from facilitating detention, she develops much of the material for the detention program. She is currently working on her doctorate in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies.
Jacques Louw is youth pastor at Rietfontein Baptist church. He has a tremendous passion for youth and is involved in various ministry activites aimed at high schools.
Ian Dewbury is an ordained pastor for the Reformed church. He is currently completing potgraduate studies at the University of Pretoria. Ian has been involved with Konings Kinders, a ministry to children in need, for some time and brings with him his experience and creativity!
Some of our volunteer facilitators include Hannelie Buitendag who's experience with teenage children has been invaluable, and Wayne Smith and Christo Fritz, young adults who are a great hit with the teens!
